Bay Ridges

The Bay Ridges Neighbourhood boarders are Frenchman's Bay to the west, Highway 401 and Bayly Street to the north, the hydro transmission corridor to the east, and Lake Ontario to the south. The complete area of the neighbourhood is 3.84 square kilometres and includes the eastern part of Frenchman’s Bay. 
 
Bay Ridges has three childcare centers; Pickering Child Care Centre, Kids “R” Us Child Care Centre, and Father Fénelon YMCA Centre.
 
They offer four elementary and secondary schools; Father Fénelon Catholic School, Durham Alternative Secondary School, Bayview Heights Public School, and Sir J. A. MacDonald Public School. 
 
The eight neighbourhood parks in the area include Douglas Park, Mitchell Park, Balsdon Park, Commerce Street Park, Alderwood Park, Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park, Alex Robertson Park, and Parkham Parkette. 
 
There is one senior's center; South Pickering Seniors Citizens Club and one community center; East Shore Community Center. 

Shopping Centres include The Pickering Town Center and The Great Candian Superstore.
